UNIVERSITY OF ZULIA
My Roots. My Foundation.
MY JOURNEY AT LUZ
Some institutions trust you to do a job. Others trust you to build something from nothing. The University of Zulia, one of Latin America's largest universities with over 50,000 students, gave me both.
What started in 2001 as a journalism and communications role grew into something far bigger. Over sixteen years I wore every hat: journalist, radio host, TV producer, professor, public relations officer, creative director, and the founder of the university's in-house creative agency. I built that agency from scratch, hired and trained the team, and led over 30 campaigns across fourteen faculties, reaching a community of 70,000 people.
The work ranged from public health awareness and social causes to institutional branding and scientific events. Every concept, every design, every story was built to move people. More than 3,000 original photographs. A weekly newspaper for seven years. A weekly radio show for five. Twenty-five research papers presented internationally.
LUZ didn't just shape my education. It shaped everything I know about what great communication looks like.
